Lawrence Wesley Thomas, Jr. was born May 21, 1960 in Fauquier County, Virginia. He departed this earth on February 21, 2021 at Sentara Hospital in Woodridge, Virginia. Lawrence, affectionately known as "Bimbo" or "LT", was the baby boy of the Late Lawrence W. Thomas, Sr., and Rosa R. Thomas. He was educated in the Prince William County Public Schools and was a lifelong resident of Prince William County. Following his education, he went on to work with the Mark Winkler Company where he worked until 1987. He then transitioned to his career with Fairfax County Government, Communications Division until his retirement in 2017.

He was a diehard fan of Washington DC sports teams. Bimbo was a lifelong multi-sport athlete and excelled at every sport he played. He was a multi-year champion in the Legendary Hoop-it-Up 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament with his lifelong friends, Dulaney Washington, Victor Washington and Neal Smiley. Later in life he went on to coach the girls basketball team with Gainesville District Basketball Association. "LT" as he was known as on the softball diamond, lived, ate, and breathed softball. He coached little league softball with Gainesville District Little League and played on many Fairfax County leagues and teams until his untimely passing.

Bimbo had an adventurous and carefree spirit and a love for his family and friends. He loved Prince, fast cars, Marvel, Kung Fu, animals, and westerns.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his father: Lawrence Wesley Thomas, Sr., and one brother: David (Skeets) Thomas. Lawrence is survived by his partner: Sydni T. Hampton of Woodridge, Virginia, his mother: Rosa R. Thomas of Gainesville, Virginia, daughters: Tonoi (Mitchell) Skinner of Woodridge, Virginia, and Desiree Hampton of Woodridge, Virginia; Two daughters from a union with Gina Allen which ended in divorce: Danyelle Thomas Jeudi (Jean) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Dominique Thomas of Broad Run, Virginia. He also leaves to cherish his memories: Four sisters: Sara (Bunny) Sweatt (Richard) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Sandra (Bootsie) Robinson (Lonnie) of Louisa, Virginia, Sheri (Ducky) Rodriguez of Manassas, Virginia, and Roberta (Tia) Thomas of Fairfax, Virginia and one brother: Robert (Corey) Thomas of Manassas, Virginia. Two grandchildren: Jaylen Bianco and Tiarra Skinner. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, many other family, and friends
