Jose Israel Flores was born in San Miguel, El Salvador on February 10th, 1980. He was the son of Donatila Flores and Arturo Castellon, as well as the only brother of Reyna Castellon Flores.

He studied at the "Centro Escolar Cantón San Antonio Silva" and the "Instituto Nacional Isidro Menéndez". He was a very friendly and outgoing person.
