Tribute & Message From The Family

Elizabeth Howard Robinson was 99 years of age when she passed on September 27, 2020.

Elizabeth was the eldest of 13 children born to Robert and Tassie Robinson. She was raised and schooled in Prince William County, Virginia. She met and married Alfred Robinson; whom she affectionately called "Al". They made their family home in Broad Run, VA. From this union three sons and three daughters were born.

Elizabeth worked many jobs over the years, but her most rewarding job was with Northern Virginia Electric Company in Manassas, VA, as a switchboard operator. She was loved by all and developed many lasting friendships. One of her most cherished friendships was with Marilyn Lawson who remained her faithful friend until the end. Elizabeth also worked at First Steps Child Care Center in Catharpin, VA – a delight for her because she loved children and was a loving caregiver to them all.

Elizabeth had many loves with cooking being at the top of her list. She was known for her delicious bread!

Elizabeth was baptized more than fifty years ago into the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) faith and became a member of the Warrenton Virgina SDA Church. She served in several positions in the Church including officiating as head deaconess. She was a good and faithful servant of her church and community, helping out in any way she could. Her love for the Lord was motivation for it all.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband Alfred, and her 3 sons, Tony, Larry, and Don. She is also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by 3 daughters, Shirley Harris (Carl), Patricia Warren (Mike), and Althea (Chris); Step daughter Delois Caison and daughter in law, Linda Robinson.

Elizabeth leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren. Also; 4 sisters, Helen Philips, Dorothy Hughes, Viola Brooks, Alice Jean Thomas and 1 brother Charles "Chuck" Robinson, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and beloved friends.

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to spend many days in the home of Aunt Liz as a teenager. What a warm, gentle, loving lady she was. Shirley, Trish, Honey and the rest of the family--may God bless you as you cherish her memory.
